Developed design is completed and planning is well underway. There is a team of experts working on making the dream a reality.
As always Yuan Tze is leading with wisdom guidance and encouragement for all those involved.
Vision
To create a home for Ren Xue – a place where we can live in a Ren Xue way to the full, and achieve true harmony with ourselves, with our family, with our community, and with nature.
Purpose
To create a space where people can learn and apply Ren Xue in order to experience health, happiness, a sense of well-being, realisation and wisdom, and a meaningful way to contribute to the world.
To provide a base where the Ren Xue community can grow and become a model for living in harmony.

2019
Project Officially Announced
A pledge of $6m NZD to fund the Ren Xue Centre project.
The project was officially announced at the Retreat in Rotorua, with the support (& excitement) of Yuan Tze & Melissa.

2020
Visioning
The Visioning team met in in Golden Bay with the following goals: to investigate Golden Bay as a potential site for the Centre; to discuss roles of the team and what other skills were needed, to identify the mission and goals of the project and plan next steps.

2022
Farm Purchased
Ren Xue Australasia purchased a 186 Hectare Farm in Onekaka, Golden Bay, New Zealand.

2023
OK Grow Nursery Established
OK Grow Nursery developed as a Social Enterprise on the Farm.
Centre Concept Design Updated
Updated Concept design for the Centre was shared with the Ren Xue community.

2025
Villa Renovation Completed
The old Farmhouse Villa was renovated and developed as a Ren Xue Guest house and meeting venue.
Lead Design Contract Awarded
Arthouse and Tennent Brown Architects awarded the lead design contract.

First step in Centre construction
Celebrating the first construction project - a driveway to the Centre site!

APRIL 2026
Preliminary Design Presented
Hugh Tennent of Tennent Brown Architects presented the preliminary design renders to the Ren Xue Australasia Board, as well as to Yuan Tze and Melissa, receiving strong approval and enthusiasm for the vision and design direction.

AUGUST 2026
Developed Design completed
Developed Design completed by Arthouse and Tennent Brown Architects.
Ren Xue Centre Design
The initial concept design was completed by designer Steve Campbell.
Arthouse and Tennent Brown Architects were subsequently awarded the lead design contract and developed the Preliminary Design (pictured) and Developed Design.
